Women's Tennis to Open ECAC Championship Friday With Cornell

The Princeton women's tennis team received the No. 2 seed for this weekend's ECAC Championship at Columbia and the Tigers will open play Friday against Cornell.
The other first-round matches are No. 1 Yale against No. 8 NJIT, No. 4 Boston College against No. 5 Brown, and No. 3 Columbia against No. 6 Dartmouth.
Four teams in the ITA top 75 will compete in the event, including No. 24 Yale, No. 67 Brown, No. 70 Columbia and No. 73 Princeton.
Princeton's match against Cornell will begin at 11 a.m. Friday as the second match of the day. The Tigers will play either at 8 a.m. or 3 p.m. Saturday against either Dartmouth or Columbia.
Princeton, 2-1 on the season so far, has played in the ECAC Championship in each of the last four seasons. The Tigers have won their opening match all four times, and in three of those years, the Tigers lost in the final, all three times to Yale.
