PRINCETON, N.J. (3/1/13) - With the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend, this Saturday, March 2 is the last chance to post a qualifying mark. Select members of the Princeton track & field teams will fan out across the region in a final attempt to reach the qualifying standard.
The men's distance medley relay and distance will take on the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame. Junior Chris Bendsten will run the 5000 at 7:25 p.m., on Friday. After the 5k, junior Michael Williams, and seniors Austin Hollimon, Russell Dinkins and Peter Callahan will take on the DMR. On Saturday, senior Michael Franklin will compete in the 3000 at 11:45 a.m. and senior Michael Palmisano will run the mile at 2:50 p.m.
Eight members of the track teams will head back to The Armory to compete in the Columbia Last Chance Meet. On Saturday, junior Tom Hopkins will be in the 400 at 6:50 p.m., sophomore Brad Paternostro and senior Nathan Mathabane in the 800 at 7:25 p.m., and sophomore Sam Pons in the 3000 at 8:30 p.m.
The women will send senior Alexis Mikaelian and junior Molly Higgins for the mile at 6 p.m., senior Greta Feldman for the 800 at 7:10 p.m., and sophomore Erika Fluehr in the 3000 at 8:05.
Competing at the ECAC Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston are freshman Taylor Morgan and junior Theresa Kennedy in the high jump on Saturday at 3 p.m., junior Imani Oliver in the triple jump on Saturday at 3 p.m., Sophomore Cecilia Barowski in the 500 on Saturday at 4:35 p.m and senior Erin Guty in the long jump on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
