Women's Golf Sees First Round in Hilton Head Canceled

The Princeton women's golf team will play one round instead of two at the Low Country Intercollegiate at Moss Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C. after Sunday's opening round was canceled.
Kelly Shon is the tournament's defending champion and will tee off at 9:30 a.m. Monday along with teammates Alexandra Wong, Sydney Kersten, Anna Jang and Tiffany Dong.
The Tigers are one of 16 teams in the field and one of three Ivies, along with Brown and Dartmouth. In addition to host Wofford and the Ivy trio, the others are The Citadel, Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, Radford, Western Kentucky, South Carolina-Upstate, South Carolina State, Western Carolina, Appalachian State, Akron, Division II Ursuline (Ohio), and Division III DePauw (Ind.). Princeton is the highest-ranked team in the field according to the Mar. 17 Golfweek rankings, checking in at No. 92 nationally.
The tournament is one of three on the docket for the team this spring, along with the UNCW Seahawk Classic in North Carolina the first weekend in April and the Ivy League Championship at Trump National the last weekend in April.
