Hoy Nabs NWSL Player of the Week Honor
August 21, 2013 | Women's Soccer
Princeton alumna Jen Hoy '13 closed out her season with the Chicago Red Stars by being named the National Women's Soccer League's Player of the Week, the second straight week a Tiger alum has earned the award this season.
Diana Matheson '08, who helped lead Princeton to the NCAA College Cup semifinals in 2004 and now plays for the Washington Spirit in addition to her Canadian national team duties, was named the NWSL Player of the Week on Aug. 13.
Hoy had both goals in Chicago's 2-1 road win over FC Kansas City last Sunday, tying the game with a 45th-minute goal and getting the game-winner in stoppage time.
