Fencers Take Part in October NAC Event in Oregon

Princeton fencers current and former took part in the October North American Cup event in Portland, Oregon, which wrapped up Monday.
Eliza Stone '13 won bronze in the Division I women's saber, making it to the semifinals before bowing out to former Columbia fencer Loweye Diedro, 15-14. Katharine Holmes, who is taking time off from collegiate fencing to prepare for a run at the 2016 Olympics, took bronze in the epee, advancing to the semifinals.
Freshman Edward Chin advanced to the quarterfinals in the Division I men's saber draw, finishing sixth, and alumni Soren Thompson '05 and Jonathan Yergler '13 also advanced to the quarters on opposite sides of the Division I men's epee bracket.
