Porter Named Academic All-District; Tops NCAA Stats in Points Per Game

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/30/14) - Senior forward Cameron Porter of the Princeton men's soccer team has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team on the same day that the NCAA announced the updated statistics, showing Porter leading the nation in points per game.
Porter leads the NCAA in points per game averaging 1.92 and is second in goals per game at 0.85. He is fourth in total goals and seventh in total points nationally. Porter is the Ivy League's leading scoring with 25 points on a league-best 11 goals and three assists. Porter ranks in the top-10 in program history in both goals and points with 66 career points and 27 goals, making an indelible mark in the record book of the program's 105-year history. He was a unanimous first-team All-Ivy League player as a junior and second-team as a sophomore, while also earning 2013 Academic ALl-Ivy accolades. Porter led the league in scoring as a junior as well with 21 points.
Porter moves on to the national ballot with the Academic All-America being announced on November 25.
Princeton continues its quest for the Ivy League title this Saturday at Cornell.
