| 1901 | Princeton's varsity men's tennis program begins, and the Tigers have matches exclusively with Columbia and Yale until 1906 |
| 1934 | As the schedule lengthens and Princeton has its first official head coach, Mercer Beasley, the Tigers notch double-digit wins for the first time, going 11-0-1 |
| 1941 | A year after opening play in the Eastern Intercollegiate Tennis Association, Princeton wins its first EITA title, going 6-0 in the league |
| 1946 | John Conroy becomes Princeton's head coach and remains with the program for 25 years and winning 259 matches, a record that stood until 1996 |
| 1975 | David Benjamin becomes Princeton's head coach and would go on to match John Conroy's longevity record at 25 seasons |
| 1979 | Two years after making its debut at the newly formatted NCAA team championships, Princeton advances in the draw for the first time, defeating Arkansas 5-4 in the Round of 16 |
| 1980 | Princeton caps a run of winning 21 EITA titles in 31 seasons, including six in the 1950s, seven in the 1960s and seven in the 1970s |
| 1980 | Leif Shiras '81 and Jay Lapidus '81 combine to win six matches at the NCAA singles championship, with Shiras winning four to advance to the NCAA semifinals |

| 2013 | Matija Pecotic '13 finishes 19th in the season-ending ITA rankings and earns All-America honors, the first Tiger to earn All-America since Ted Farnsworth '84 in 1984 |
The 150th anniversary of the first intercollegiate athletic event in Princeton University history will be Nov. 22, 2014, which will be 150 years to the day that Princeton defeated Williams 27-16 in a baseball game. As part of the 150th celebration, Princeton will be commemorating the history of each of its 38 varsity teams, in reverse order of the time they became varsity programs.
