The excitement of Beth Stella's game-tying goal with less than five minutes to play Saturday evening against Penn was dulled by a late strike from the Quakers, allowing Penn to retake the lead with just 1:39 to go on the way to a 3-2 win. The game was the Princeton career finale for head coach Julie Shackford after 20 seasons and for Princeton's nine seniors. Shackford ends her Tiger career with 203 victories, eight NCAA tournament appearances, seven Ivy League titles and a memorable run to the 2004 NCAA College Cup semifinals. |
