Dudey, Lee Earn Weekly Rookie Fencing Honors from ECAC

Thomas Dudey and Allison Lee were named the men's and women's rookies of the week for fencing by the ECAC after helping Princeton to a sweep of Sacred Heart, Vassar, NYU and Penn State in Sacred Heart-hosted duals Sunday in Connecticut.
Dudey was 6-2 in head-to-head duals in wins over Sacred Heart, NYU and Vassar, including winning all three bouts against NYU. In the rally-scoring format against Penn State, Dudey had 15 of the foil team's 45 touches in a 45-36 weapon win.
Lee was 8-1 in head-to-head duals in the wins over Sacred Heart, NYU and Vassar while accounting for 11 of the saber team's 34 touches in a 45-34 rally-scoring weapon loss to Penn State.
The Tigers will be away from competition until Jan. 31, when they begin two days of dual matches hosted by Northwestern.
