Dec. 11 TigerCast: Caitlin Chambers & Teo D'Alessandro
December 11, 2014 | General, Men's Swimming and Diving, Women's Swimming and Diving
Caitlin Chambers (women's diving) and Teo D'Alessandro (men's swimming) join the latest edition of TigerCast to break down the first portion of the Princeton men's and women's swimming and diving seasons.
Few student-athletes at Princeton can match the roll that Chambers has been on already this season. After winning the 3-meter diving title at the Ivy League Championships last season, Chambers has both entered and won six diving events this season. She took that up a level last weekend, breaking the 16-year-old record of Erin Lutz on the 3-meter board. Chambers talks about her journey to Princeton and the role of her coaches, the facility at DeNunzio, and the impact diving could make on the Ivy League Championships.
Speaking of the championship meet, D'Alessandro will have his first opportunity to compete at the Ivy League Championships at DeNunzio Pool this February. A former individual and team Ivy champion, D'Alessandro recently was an 'A' finalist at the AT&T Winter National Championships. A veteran of the squad, he discusses how the team refocused after last season, his own performances recently and how impressed he has been with the highly touted freshman class.
