| After five days away from competition following the Princeton men's basketball team's trip to California, Princeton rebounded from the 10-point loss at Berkeley to beat Lipscomb 77-55 Friday night in Jadwin Gym. Princeton rebounded from making just two of its first nine shots to go 14 of 21 from the field for the rest of the half, including making its last five field goals to close the period on a 14-6 run to open a 44-27 lead. Lipscomb led as late as 12-10 with less than 13 minutes before halftime, but Princeton scored 20 of the next 27 points to open a double-figure lead. In the second half, Princeton never led by fewer than 10 points and went on a 10-0 run to break open a 62-50 lead for the team's first 22-point advantage of the night. Clay Wilson's 19 points were a career high, bettering the 16 points he had in each game of the Cornell-Columbia road swing last season. |
