Fencers to Visit Sacred Heart to Resume Dual-Match Season
December 04, 2014 | Men's Fencing, Women's Fencing
In the team's second day of competition of the fall season, the Princeton fencing teams will head to Sacred Heart Sunday for contests against the host Pioneers, NYU, Vassar and Penn State.
The team began its season three weeks ago at the Ohio State duals, competing against Penn State, Ohio State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Penn. The men had wins over UNC and Penn while the women defeated Penn State and UNC.
The day will start at 10 a.m. against Sacred Heart and will continue at 11 a.m. against NYU. In the afternoon, the Tigers will meet Vassar at 1:30 and Penn State at 2:30. Temple and Harvard will also be at the event, but Princeton will face those opponents later in the season.
Princeton will be away from competition after the event until two days of duals at Northwestern, held Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
