The Week That Was
• Princeton defeated Wake Forest (72-55), Montana (80-55) and Charlotte (73-43) last week en route to the Mayan Division championship at the 2014 Cancun Challenge.
• Trailing for just 47 seconds in three games, the Tigers held a lead of at least 20 points in all three contests.
• Shooting 48.8 (78-160) percent from the field and 40.0 (20-50) from long distance, the Orange and Black averaged 75.0 points per game.
• Surrendering just 51.0 points per outing, Princeton held opponents to 30.5 (47-154) percent shooting, which included a 30.4 (17-56) clip from behind the arc.
• Getting off to fast starts, the Tigers outscored the opposition 124-66 in the first half.
• Helping to force 17.3 turnovers per game, Princeton finished with a +9.0 rebounding differential.
• Annie Tarakchian, Alex Wheatley, Amanda Berntsen and Vanessa Smith all scored in double figures against Wake Forest. It was the first time four Tigers finished in double figures since Blake Dietrick, Michelle Miller, Tarakchian and Wheatley netted double digits against VCU in the first round of last year's WNIT.
• The Tigers' 52.3 (23-44) field goal percentage against Wake Forest is the highest for the squad this season. Its 21 free throws were also a season high.
• Princeton's 80 points against Montana are the most this season, while the Orange and Black's 10 triples against the Griz were the most since the Tigers hit 13 against Seton Hall in the second round of last year's WNIT.
• Princeton's 80.0 (16-20) free throw percentage against Montana was a season high along with its 45 rebounds.
• Annie Tarakchian's 23 points, 14 rebounds and eight free throws against Montana were all team season highs.
• The Tigers' eight turnovers against Charlotte were the fewest since committing eight turnovers against Brown on Mar. 1, 2014.
• The Orange and Black's 64.0 (16-25) field goal percentage in the first half against Charlotte was a season high.
• Tarakchian was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player. Averaging 14.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, she shot 66.7 (12-18) percent from the field, 61.5 (8-13) from three and 91.7 (11-12) from the free throw line.
• Blake Dietrick was named to the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament team. Dietrick averaged 10.7 points, 3.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds, shooting 41.4 (12-29) from the floor and 46.7 (7-15) percent from three-point range.
• Alex Wheatley has averaged 11.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 24.3 minutes over her last three appearances.
Climbing the Charts
• Off to the best start in Ivy League history at 7-0, Princeton received votes in the Associated Press Top-25 poll for the first time since March 18, 2013.
• Earning five votes, the Tigers are currently tied for 30th nationally. In 2011-12, Princeton was the first Ivy League team to ever earn a national ranking finishing 24th in the final AP Top-25 poll.
• The Orange and Black are ninth in the country in the latest NCAA RPI Rankings, while sitting 13th in the Jeff Sagarin/CBN Women's Basketball Rating.
• With 685 points and two first-place votes, Princeton has climbed to third in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 poll, trailing only James Madison and Green Bay.
• Statistically, Princeton is 11th in the nation in scoring defense (51.0 ppg), 20th in field goal percentage defense (32.9) and 41st in rebounding margin (+8.3).
• The Tigers are 24th in the country in three-point field goal percentage (39.4), 33rd in scoring margin (+18.3) and 36th in field goal percentage (45.7).
Around the Ivy
• Princeton currently leads the Ivy in FG percentage (45.7) and 3PT percentage (39.4) and is second in assists per game (14.7) and scoring offense (69.3 ppg).
• The Tigers lead the conference in rebounding margin (+8.3) and are second in steals (8.3). and blocks (4.6).
• Princeton also tops the league in scoring defense (51.0), opponent field goal percentage (32.9) and opponent three-point percentage (26.1).
• Blake Dietrick currently leads the conference pack in assists per game (4.4) while sitting fourth in three-point shooting (45.9), tied for sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.8), and 12th in points per game (12.1).
• Michelle Miller is currently 11th in the Ivy in three-point percentage (38.2) and 13th in scoring (10.9 ppg).
• Annie Tarakchian is first in the Ivy in free throw percentage (90.0), third in three-point percentage (50.0) and fourth in rebounding (8.9).
• Amanda Berntsen is tied for fifth in steals (1.7 spg).
• Alex Wheatley leads the conference in field goal percentage (53.3) and is tied for third in blocks (1.5 bpg). Her 54.5 career FG percentage ranks third on the program's all-time charts.
• Taylor Williams is tied for third in the conference in blocks per game (1.3). Williams matched a career-high by swatting five shots against Pittsburgh on Nov. 14.
Weekly Honors
• Annie Tarakchian was named the Ivy League Player of the Week and Suburban Transit/GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week after her performance at the Cancun Challenge.
• Tarakchian's 23 points and 14 rebounds against Montana were both career highs, while her four steals in the contest matched a personal best.
• Going a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe against the Griz, she set another personal benchmark, while her six made field goals tied a career high.
• Averaging 14.3 points in three games, Tarakchian shot 66.7 percent from the field, 61.5 percent from three and 91.7 percent from the free throw line.
• Also averaging 10.0 boards per game she has a pair of double doubles on the year and has led the Tigers in rebounding in five contests.
Leading by Example
• Serving as one of the team's co-captains this season, Blake Dietrick currently leads the squad in points (12.1) and assists (4.4) per game.
• Second on the team in three-point shooting (45.9), her four triples against Montana were tied for the most for any Tiger this season.
• Dietrick's career 39.6 three-point percentage currently ranks third all-time.
• Second on the team in rebounds per game (5.7), she has twice led Princeton in rebounding. Dietrick has also paced the Tigers in assists four times and scoring once.
• Helping the Tigers to three wins, Dietrick earned a spot on Cancun Challenge all-tournament squad.
• Averaging 10.7 points, 3.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game while South of the Border, she shot 41.4 percent (12-of-29) from the floor and 41.4 percent (7-of-15) from behind the arc.
Career Milestones
• Vanessa Smith's seven made free throws and three helpers against Wake Forest were both career highs.
• Amanda Berntsen's 4-of-5 showing from the charity stripe against Charlotte was a personal best.
• Alex Wheatley matched a career high with five assists against Montana.
• Taylor Williams set a new career high with three steals against Wake Forest.
Road Warriors
• Princeton has opened the 2014-15 season with a 6-0 mark away from Jadwin Gymnasium.
• Last season, Princeton went 11-6 on the road and 1-0 in neutral site games.
• Nearly two-thirds of the Tigers' regular season slate will be played away from Jadwin in 2014-15, with the Orange and Black traveling for 19 of the team's scheduled 30 contests.
All-time Series
• Georgetown owns a 3-1 edge over Princeton in a series that dates back to the 1996-97 season.
• Princeton dropped the inaugural meeting on Nov. 27, 1996 by a score of 83-62.
• The following season, Princeton recorded its lone victory over the Hoyas, 71-44.
• In 2010-11, the Tigers dropped an NCAA first round match-up to Georgetown, 65-49.

Scouting Georgetown
• After starting the year 2-1, Georgetown carries a 2-6 record into Saturday's showdown, having dropped each of its last five games.
• Surrendering a 81-58 decision to Temple, the Hoyas fell to Alabama, 72-58. Suffering a 55-42 setback at Kansas, Georgetown took a pair of losses against Florida (81-73) and Holy Cross (73-69) over the Thanksgiving break.
• Averaging 64.5 points per game, Georgetown is shooting just 35.7 (189-530) percent from the floor and 30.6 (38-124) percent from three.
• Allowing 68.2 points per game, opponents are connecting on 37.9 (179-472) percent of their shot attempts and 30.6 (44-144) of three-pointers.
• Pulling down 45.5 boards per game, the Hoyas have posted a +2.5 rebounding margin through their first eight games.
• Georgetown has averaged 18.1 turnovers per game in 2014-15, while helping to force opponents into 18.4 miscues.
• While the Hoyas rank second to last in the Big East in field goal percentage (35.7), Georgetown has posted the second-lowest opponent field goal percentage (37.9).

Camper Appreciation Day
• Princeton's match-up against Georgetown on Saturday, Dec. 6 will serve as the team's Camper Appreciation Day.
• Free admission will be offered to all campers, who will also be recognized at halftime.
• Prior to the start of the game, a bounce house and face painting will be available to those in attendance.
• Members of Princeton women's basketball will also take part in a postgame autograph session.
Holiday Hoops Food Drive
• The Princeton University Department of Athletics and the Office of Community and Regional Affairs will host the annual Holiday Hoops Food Drive at this Saturday's men's and women's basketball doubleheader.
• All fans that bring two non-perishable food items will receive free admission to the doubleheader by dropping off their food items at the food drive table, just inside the main entrance to Jadwin Gym.
• In addition to the food drive, all Princeton basketball doubleheaders are Family Fun Days with face painting, bounce houses giveaways and more. That schedule includes the doubleheader this Saturday, as well as the ones on Dec. 19 and Jan. 10.
2014-15 Promotional Schedule
• The Dec. 13 match-up against Binghamton will also count towards the Holiday Hoops Food Drive.
• Princeton's showdown against Portland State on Dec. 19 will count towards the Elementary School Challenge.
• The Tigers' Feb. 7 match-up against Cornell will be Dillon Basketball Appreciation Night.
• On Feb. 21 the Orange and Black will host Princeton Plays Pink for its game against Harvard.
• The Tigers' Feb. 28 tilt against Brown will serve as its National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
