No. 25 Women's Basketball Secures Ivy Weekend Sweep With 62-49 Takedown Of Harvard

CAMBRIDGE – The No. 25 Princeton Women's Basketball Team defeated the Harvard Crimson, 62-49, at Lavietes Pavilion on Saturday night.
Saniyah Glenn Bello's three-pointer with 41 seconds to go gave Harvard a 13-11 advantage after 10 minutes of action.
Princeton scored the last five points of the second quarter to earn a 27-22 advantage at the break. The Tigers shot 50 percent during the frame, going 7-of-14 from the floor.
Back-to-back buckets from Ashley Chea and Skye Belker to begin the second half forced Harvard to call timeout.
Chea followed with a triple to extend the lead to 12, 34-22, with 7:50 left in the third stanza.
The Crimson responded with eight straight to cut its deficit to four, 34-30, which made Carla Berube call time. The Tigers answered with eight consecutive points to wrap up the quarter to go up, 47-36.
This Taylor Charles AND-1 put the Tigers up 15 as the clock read 6:39.
Fadima Tall paced the offense with 18 points, adding nine rebounds and four steals. Belker (13) and Chea (12) each scored in double figures in the win.
With the win, Princeton improves to 23-3 overall and 12-2 in the Ivy League while Harvard drops to 16-10 this season and 9-4 in the conference. The Tigers finish the regular season vs. Yale next Saturday (Mar. 7). Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
