For First Time as Defending Champs, Princeton Heads for NCAA Finals

A year ago in San Antonio, the Princeton fencing programs won their first joint NCAA title. Now, with the meet headed for Columbus, Ohio, this weekend, the Tigers return as the defending champions.
For the fifth straight year, Princeton has qualified the maxmimum 12 competitiors for the NCAA finals, a key step in aiming for the top of the leaderboard as each fencer can earn up to 23 points by defeating their 23 fellow weapon qualifiers.
Below is the daily schedule and a look at Princeton's qualifiers:
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. women's foil, 11:30 a.m. women's epee, 2 p.m. women's saber, all rounds 1-3
Friday: 9 a.m. all three weapons, rounds 4-5, 1:30 p.m. individual championship bouts in epee, foil, saber order
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. men's foil, 11:30 a.m. men's epee, 2 p.m. men's saber, all rounds 1-3
Sunday: 9 a.m. all three weapons, rounds 4-5, 1:45 p.m. individual championship bouts in epee, foil, saber order
