Princeton advanced out of the first round for the third time in as many College Basketball Invitational tournament appearances, but it took the Tigers withstanding a late Tulane rally to win 56-55. Princeton was ahead by as many as 14 points in the second half and by seven with 31 seconds to go, but the Green Wave, with a winning season on the line, whittled it down to the final margin on a Jonathan Stark 3-pointer with three tenths of a second left. |
