Women's Tennis to Host FDU Tuesday in Final Pre-Ivy Match
March 24, 2014 | Women's Tennis
Princeton will host Fairleigh Dickinson Tuesday evening in Jadwin Gym in the final match before Ivy League play begins Saturday.
The Tigers have a No. 68 national ranking and a 10-5 record heading into the 5 p.m. match Tuesday, which will bring a fresh set of ITA rankings. FDU stands at 5-3, and the teams have common opponents so far in Rutgers and Temple. Princeton defeated both, both by 6-1 scores, while FDU lost to Rutgers 5-2 and beat Temple 4-3.
The meeting will be the first between the fellow New Jersey-based programs, but it will be the second time this season that FDU will face an Ivy League program. Cornell defeated FDU on March 2.
Following the match, Princeton will host Penn at 1 p.m. Saturday to open Ivy League play.
