Oliver Wins; Bird Runs PR in Mile as Indoor Season Comes to a Close

PRINCETON, N.J. (3/9/14) – Senior Imani Oliver capped the 2014 indoor track & field season with a win in the triple jump as Princeton's season wrapped up today.
Oliver jumped to 12.40 (40-8.25) on her second attempt to win the event at the Columbia Last Chance meet and was over 12 meters on all six jumps. The next best jumper cleared just 10.65.
At the ECAC Championships in Boston, freshman Lizzie Bird ran a PR to finish third overall the in the mile. Bird clocked a 4:46.47, the ninth best indoor mile time in program history. Bird qualified for the final after posting a 4:52.13 in the prelims yesterday.
Senior Marisa Cummings also competed in the 3k.
Princeton's outdoor season begins next week when the team travels to Florida for spring break and it competes at the Disney Invitational.
