Griggs Named Co-Ivy League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. (9/15/14) - Princeton senior Julian Griggs was named the Ivy League Men's Soccer co-Player of the Week it was announced by the league office on Monday, Sept. 15.
Griggs had a five-point game at Seton Hall, scoring twice and adding one assist as the Tigers defeated Seton Hall 5-4. Griggs scored the game-winning goal with 28 seconds remaining to lift Princeton to its first win of the season. He helped to give his team a 2-1 lead at halftime, assisting on teammate Thomas Sanner's go-ahead goal in the 40th minute.
The midfielder scored his first goal of the game to 67th minute, a header that knotted the game at 3-3, after Princeton saw its first-half lead slip away in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Griggs and the Princeton team will host No. 6 Georgetown in an ESPNU live-televised game on Wednesday night on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium. Admission is free.
