Softball Announces Fall Games

The Princeton softball team announced two fall doubleheaders as its final outdoor games until the 2015 season begins.
Princeton will head to coach Lisa Sweeney's alma mater, Lehigh, for a noon doubleheader on Sunday, Sept. 28. A week later, on Oct. 5, the Tigers will play at the Class of 1895 Field against Delaware in a noon doubleheader.
The program also announced its uniform numbers for the three-member incoming class. Danielle Dockx, a infielder from Arizona, will wear No. 21, while Ashley LaGuardia, a pitcher from northern New Jersey, will wear No. 23, and Kylee Pierce, an outfielder from California, will wear No. 12. Pierce's older sister Lizzy, a member of the Class of 2012, was the last Tiger to wear 12.
The Tigers will take a roster of 20 into fall play, including 17 players returning from a year ago. Among the returners are 85 percent of the team's hits from a year ago, 88 percent of the runs batted in and every one of the team's 286 2/3 innings pitched.
