PRINCETON, N.J. (9/19/14) - It will be the first meeting between Princeton and Boston University in men's soccer on Saturday, Sept. 20 as the Tigers face the Terriers at 4 p.m., at Nickerson Field.
The Tigers head East with a 1-2-1 overall record, having most recently lost a 3-1 game to No. 13 Georgetown. Offensively the team is led by senior striker Cameron Porter. Porter has scored half of the team's goals, four total and has a 67% shooting percentage with two of his six shots being saved. Senior Julian Griggs has five points on two goals and one assist and senior Myles McGinley has four assists. Junior Thomas Sanner and Andrew Doar chip in three points apiece with a goal and an assist each. Junior Ben Hummel has a 2.30 goals against average and a .688 save percentage in 392 minutes of action in goal.
Boston University enters the game with a 4-2 overall record and a two-game win streak. The Terriers most recently topped UMass 2-0 and Northeastern 2-1. One of BU's losses has come at the hands of an Ivy League opponent, Brown, a 1-0 game on Sept. 7. The Terriers have had six different goal scorers this season with no one players having more than one goal. Dominique Badji had a team-high four points, thanks to two assists in addition to his tally. Nick Thompson has three shutouts in six games with a 0.49 GAA and an .850 save percentage. He's allowed just three goals on 17 shots.
