Two Draw Final Appearances Wrap Farnsworth Ivy Plus for Men's Tennis

Zack McCourt picked up his first win of the season over a fellow ITA-ranked opponent Saturday at Princeton's Farnsworth Ivy Plus tournament, but the senior's try for a second straight such win came up short Sunday afternoon.
Lining up against one another for the fourth time in collegiate play, McCourt and Columbia's Winston Lin battled in the final of the Tiger Draw, the top flight at the Farnsworth event, with Lin taking a 6-3, 6-2 win. Lin won two of the three previous meetings with McCourt with the other, in last year's Columbia-Princeton dual match, going unfinished with the team match clinched.
The pair figure to have at least one more meeting in this year's dual match in April if not more, perhaps in February's ECAC Championship.
McCourt was one of two Tigers to make his flight final, with sophomore Josh Yablon winning his way into a match against Pepperdine's Stefan Menichella. Earlier in the weekend, Menichella had knocked off two ITA-ranked Ivy Leaguers in 96th-ranked Sam Fleck of Cornell and 108th-ranked Ashok Narayana of Columbia. Adding in a win over Penn's Matt Nardella in the quarters, Menichella made it 4 for 4 against the Ivy over the weekend with a 6-2, 6-7(5), 7-5 win over Yablon.
