The Princeton fencing teams will head to Northwestern for the sixth straight year to compete in two days of dual matches that will feature 13 contests for the men and 11 for the women.
A year ago at the event, Princeton's men went 8-3 while the women went 13-0.
As usual with the Northwestern event, Princeton will be up against a strong field. The third-ranked Tiger women will battle four of their fellow top-10 teams from the CollegeFencing360.com poll announced last week, starting things off with No. 1 Notre Dame Saturday morning and facing No. 5 Ohio State later that morning. No. 9 Northwestern and No. 10 Temple are ahead Sunday, along with four other programs receiving votes. The seventh-ranked men will start Saturday morning with No. 2 Notre Dame followed by No. 3 Ohio State with 10th-ranked Stanford later in the day.
The event will be the third on the calendar for both Princeton teams, with each team having compiled a 6-3 record between duals at Ohio State and Sacred Heart before the new year.
