PRINCETON, N.J. (1/29/15) - Princeton continues its ECAC schedule and looks to build upon a mid-week non-conference win over Army as the Tigers travel to Yale and Brown this weekend, Jan. 30 & 31.
EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is coming off of a 4-1 win over Army on Wednesday, in the final non-conference game of the season. Originally scheduled to be played on Tuesday miscalculated storm postponed the meeting. It marked the team's first game since Jan. 10, taking a break for semester exams. Princeton is now 3-14-1 overall and 1-11 in the ECAC. Sophomore Colton Phinney has started in all but one game this season and has a .912 save percentage and a 3.23 goals against average.
THE PRINCETON/YALE SERIES
Princeton and Yale are meeting for the second time this season after facing each other in a non-conference game to start the 2014-15 season at the Liberty Hockey Invitational. That game resulted in a 2-2 tie with Yale winning a shootout to advance to the championship game. Yale holds a 133-103-11 lead in more than 100-year old series and is 4-0-1 in the last five meetings. Princeton last win came on March 3, 2012 during the ECAC First Round Series.
