Porter Invited to 2015 MLS Player Combine

NEW YORK (1/9/14) - Princeton senior Cameron Porter has been invited to participate in the 2015 adidas MLS Player Combine to be held Jan. 8-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The coaching staffs from all 20 MLS teams will be on hand to scout talent for the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, scheduled to take place on Thursday, Jan. 15, in Philadelphia.
Porter is currently the highest ranked Ivy Leaguer as a potentional MLS draft pick, ranking No. 60 by TopDrawerSoccer.com amongst draft eligible players.
He was the NCAA leading points scorer with 2.00 points per game and .88 goals per game, and tied for first in total goals with 15 and second in total points with 34. Porter completed his career with 75 points on 31 goals and 13 assists in 67 games. He ranks fourth all-time in points, along with newly appointed New York Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch with 75, fourth in career goals and 12th in career assists.
Porter was also named the Soccer News Net Fan Player of the Year. In an online fan vote, Porter earned 47 percent of the votes on the 25-player vote. The fan voting accounts for 40 percent of the vote in determining the Soccer News Net Player of the Year which wil lbe announced in January.
