PRINCETON, N.J. (10/22/15) - The Ivy League season continues for men's soccer on Saturday, Oct. 24 as Princeton heads to Harvard for a 4:30 p.m., game.
Harvard is unbeaten in league play, along with Dartmouth, at 3-0. The Crimson have won their last five games and are 6-4-2 overall. Senior Jake Freeman leads the team offensively with nearly a quarter of the teams' points, 10 total. He has scored four goals, three of which were game winners, and adds two assists. Sophomore Sam Brown and senior Tim Schmoll add five points apiece, with Christian Sady and Oliver White providing four each. Senior Evan Mendez has played every minute in goal and has a 1.13 goals against average and a .759 save percentage.
Princeton leads the series, 46-39-8, since it began in 1909, and won last year's meeting a 3-2 game in Princeton.
The Tigers are coming off of a 3-2 double overtime victory over West Virginia from Tuesday night. Princeton is 6-4-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the Ivy League. Princeton is home to the top-two point scorers in the Ivy League in Thomas Sanner and Brendan McSherry. Sanner has 22 points and also leads the league in goals with nine. McSherry has four goals and four assists for 12 points. Seniors Nico Hurtado and Josh Miller follow in points with nine and seven, respectively. In goal, senior Ben Hummel owns a 1.57 GAA and a .700 save percentage.
