MEN'S WATER POLO: Princeton 9, Bucknell 7
For the second time in as many games, Thomas Nelson and Matt Payne each had three goals as Princeton held off Bucknell, 9-7. With the win, the Tigers closed out the regular season with a 16-4 (8-0 CWPA Southern) record.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Princeton 3, Harvard 0
Princeton moved to within one match of first place in the Ivy League with a 3-0 victory over Ivy League leader Harvard. Cara Mattaliano and Kendall Peterkin combined for 31 kills as the Tigers picked up their first win over the Crimson in six attempts.
FOOTBALL: Princeton 47, Cornell 21
Dré Nelson returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown and Joe Rhattigan rushed 12 times for 127 yards and a touchdown to lead Princeton to its fifth win of the season. Birk Olson had two sacks for the Tigers, which also picked off two passes and had two fourth-down stops.
MEN'S HOCKEY: Princeton 3, Maine 1
Princeton defeated Maine in the consolation game of the Capital City Classic at the Sun Center. Colton Phinney and Kyle Rankin were both named to the all-tournament team. Rankin, Joe Grabowski and Ben Foster scored.
WOMEN'S HOCKEY: Princeton 3, Brown 0
Alysia DaSilva earned the shutout making 16 saves. Cassidy Tucker, Kelsey Koelzer and Morgan Sly each scored as Princeton posts a weekend sweep - after a 3-2 win over Yale yesterday.
MEN'S SOCCER: Cornell 2, Princeton 1
The Big Red got a penalty kick in the 54th minute and a goal off a free kick in the 84th minute, and that was the difference in a 2-1 win. Thomas Sanner had Princeton's goal in the 69th minute.
WOMEN'S SOCCER: Princeton 2, Cornell 0
The Tigers got goals from Tyler Lussi and Jesse McDonough to beat Cornell 2-0, improve to 6-0 in the Ivy, gain the Ivy's NCAA tournament bid and, with Harvard tying Dartmouth, the outright Ivy League title with a week to play.
MEN'S WATER POLO: Princeton 15, Navy 13
Thomas Nelson and Matt Payne each turned in a hat-trick lead lead the Tigers to a 15-13 win over Navy. Payne also added three assists and went 2-0 on sprints, while Bret Hinrichs, Ryan Wilson and Eric Bowen had two goals apiece.
FIELD HOCKEY: Princeton 4, Cornell 0
Maddie Copeland netted a pair of second half scores to help lead field hockey to a 4-0 win over Cornell. With the win the Tigers clinched at least a share of the Ivy title for the 11th-straight year and the 21st time in 22 seasons.
