PRINCETON, N.J. (10/5/15) - The Princeton men's soccer team looks to extend its win streak in the series with in-state rival Seton Hall, when the Pirates visit Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium on Tuesday night.
Princeton holds a 13-11-5 edge in the series, since the teams first met in 1986. The Tiger have won the last seven meetings, including a 5-4 game in North Jersey a year ago. Julian Griggs '15 scored the game winner with 28 seconds remaining, his second goal of the game. Cameron Porter '15 scored twice and Thomas Sanner '16 had one goal. Ben Hummel '16 made one save in net.
The Tigers are 3-3-1 on the season and are coming off of a 1-0 loss in the Ivy League opener at Dartmouth from Saturday. Offensively, the team is paced by Sanner who has five goals and two assists. Senior Brendan McSherry has two goals and two assists, while senior Nico Hurtado has a team-best three assists and one goal. Senior defender Josh Miller adds two goals. Hummel owns all the decisions in goal and has a 1.66 goals against average and a .655 save percentage.
Seton Hall is looking for its first win of the season, with an 0-7-1 record. The Pirates most recently dropped a 1-0 game to St. John's - a team Princeton beat 2-1 in the season opener. Andres Arcila sita atop the scoring column with seven points on two goals and three assists, while Samuel Grier matches his goal total with two. The pair combine for 45 percent of its teams shots. Julian Spindler has started in goal in all but one game. He has a 2.53 GAA and a .585 save percentage. As a team, Seton Hall allows an average of 2.62 goals per game and is scoring 0.88 gpg/
