• Coming off its first win at Dartmouth since 2007 and off scoring its most goals at Dartmouth since 1983, Princeton is riding a five-game winning streak into Wednesday's break from Ivy League play when it hosts Army West Point at 7 p.m.
• The Tigers and the Black Knights renewed their series in 2013, and Princeton has won both recent meetings by 3-0 scores. Prior to that, Princeton and Army West Point played in 1983 and annually from 1993-97 with the Black Knights winning four of the six meetings.
• In both recent meetings with Army, Tyler Lussi scored twice each time. Lussi has scored her 36 career goals against 18 different opponents, and the only teams against which she's scored four total goals are Army and Harvard, with the four goals against the Crimson coming in last season's meeting.
• Speaking of Lussi's 36 total goals, she's tied for fourth all-time in Princeton career history with Jen Hoy '13. Lussi is three back of Emily Behncke '06 (39), five back of Linda DeBoer '86 (41) and 11 back of record holder Esmeralda Negron '05 (47) with more than a season still to play.
• Seven Black Knights have contributed to the team's 13 goals this season, with senior Katie Holder scoring five of those. Four of Holder's five goals on the season have come in the team's last five games.
• The Tigers have faced Army West Point's Jordan Cassalia in goal in each of the two recent meetings, and the junior is her team's leading goalkeeper again this season. In her 975 minutes on the season, she has a goals-against average of 1.48 per game.
• After being shut out in five of their first seven games on the season, the Black Knights have scored at least once in five straight games. Over that span, Army West Point has a 2-2-1 record, getting shutouts in the two wins but giving up two goals apice in the two losses and the tie.
• Princeton is now 2-0 in the Ivy League for the first time in three years and the 11th time in 34 seasons of Ivy League round-robin play, which began in 1982. History also lets the Tigers know there's more work to be done, as in those first 10 seasons with 2-0 Ivy starts, the Tigers have won the Ivy title seven times and just three times outright. That said, the Tigers have never won an Ivy title in a season they didn't start 2-0.
• This is Princeton's first 2-0 Ivy start in an odd-numbered year - a note of significance since Princeton's three longest Ivy trips, to Harvard, Brown and Dartmouth, all come in odd-numbered years - since 2007. The Tigers will look for a different ending in 2015 than eight years ago, as that year Princeton started 3-0 in the Ivy but finished 1-3. The last Ivy title to come in an odd-numbered year was 2001, and the team's last four Ivy titles (2002, '04, '08, '12) have come in even years.
• Princeton hasn't been outshot by an opponent since Sept. 3 vs. Rutgers, the only time Princeton was outshot this season. Princeton's streak of not being outshot is now at seven games, with the Tigers winning that stat five times and tying (W&M, 11) once.
• Princeton's 2-1 OT win on Sept. 20 over No. 23 William & Mary was the Tigers' first over an NSCAA-ranked team since defeating No. 21 West Virginia 2-1 in the first round of the 2012 NCAA tournament. It was Princeton's first home win over an NSCAA-ranked team since defeating No. 15 Washington in the 2004 NCAA quarterfinals.
• Princeton cracked the receiving votes section of Tuesday's NSCAA national rankings, with 18 voters including the Tigers on their ballots. The Tigers also leapt to the top of the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic rankings this week, jumping two spots. Princeton last received votes in the national poll in the final ranking of the 2012 season, when it received 29 votes. Princeton was last No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic regional poll on Oct. 30, 2012.
• For the third straight week, Mimi Asom won the Ivy Rookie of the Week award, this time for scoring two goals in Princeton's win at Dartmouth.
• Sophomore Natalie Larkin, who didn't score last season but had six assists, scored the game-winning goal in overtime for her fourth goal of the season. That's the third-most goals on the team so far this fall.
• Mimi Asom's six goals this season put her on track for one of the stronger freshman seasons in program history. Lussi had 10 as a freshman two years ago, a total that was the most in the program since 1982, when Linda DeBoer '86 had 12, the most scored by a Princeton freshman.
• Thirteen Tigers have started a game this season with six players starting all 10 games. Only one of those six - Emily Sura - is a senior, and Mimi Asom is the only freshman to start all nine games.
• Junior goalkeeper Hannah Winner has started all 10 games and has played all but two halves of two games over Princeton's first 10 contests. Her 816 minutes are almost quadruple her previous single-season best, topping her 218 minutes from last season.
