Steffensen Advances to Quarters in Florida

Katrine Steffensen won two matches Friday to advance to the quarterfinals at the Lakewood Ranch Invitational in Sarasota, Fla.
Steffensen picked up a first-round win over Joselyn Treyes of Florida Gulf Coast in straight sets before rallying from a second-set loss to Anki Wind of Memphis to win the Round of 16 match in three. Steffensen will face Anna Danilina of Florida in Saturday's quarterfinal round beginning at 10 a.m.
Alanna Wolff, Catalina Vives, Sara Goodwin and Sivan Krems are also in the field, with Wolff winning her first-round match before falling in the second round. Princeton's three doubles teams, Goodwin and Steffensen, Krems and Wolff, and Vives with Laura Falceto of FGCU, fell in the first round, with only main-draw play in doubles.
Wolff and Krems will continue in consolation singles play Saturday, also beginning at 10 a.m. Princeton's results from Friday are below, and updated draws can be found here.
