Fencers to Get Season Started Saturday at Penn

Penn will host the Elite Invitational Saturday beginning at 9 a.m., opening the Tiger fencers' 2015-16 season.
Princeton's men will open against Ohio State at 9 a.m., followed by North Carolina at 10:30, NJIT at 12:30 p.m., Columbia at 2 and Notre Dame at 3:30.
The Tiger men ended last season ranked eighth in the nation by CollegeFencing360.com, with Ohio State fifth, UNC and NJIT receiving votes, Columbia ranked first and Notre Dame ranked third.
The women will open at 9 a.m. against Northwestern, followed by North Carolina at 10:30, NJIT at 12:30 p.m., Columbia at 2, Notre Dame at 3:30 and Johns Hopkins at 5.
Princeton's women were ranked third nationally by CollegeFencing360.com to end last season, with Northwestern sixth, UNC receiving votes, Columbia first and Notre Dame second.
The only program in the nation to finish in the top four at the NCAA Championships - a combined men's/women's event - in each of the last five seasons, Princeton took home a fourth-place trophy last year. The Tigers return all five of the men who competed at the NCAA Championships - senior Jack Hudson, juniors Alex House and Peter Pak, and sophomores Thomas Dudey and Edward Chin - and four of the six women who competed there - seniors Isabel Ford and Gracie Stone, junior Ashley Tsue and sophomore Allison Lee.
