Women's Tennis Announces 2016 Spring Slate

The Princeton women's tennis team has announced its 2016 spring schedule, beginning Jan. 23 with a doubleheader in Jadwin Gym against Delaware and Georgetown.
Princeton returns four of its six singles players and five of its six doubles players from the group that played in the NCAA tournament last year, the second straight year the Tigers made the postseason.
Here's a look at each of Princeton's 2016 opponents:

Delaware Sat., Jan. 23, 11 a.m. Jadwin Gym Princeton and Delaware have never met in a women's tennis dual match. The Blue Hens made the CAA quarterfinals last year. |

Georgetown Sat., Jan. 23, 3:30 p.m. Jadwin Gym Princeton and Georgetown have never met in a women's tennis dual match. Georgetown finished with an 11-5 record last season. |
| Grand Canyon Tue., Jan. 26, 1 p.m. ET/11 a.m. MT Phoenix, Ariz. Princeton and Grand Canyon have never met in a women's tennis dual match. The Antelopes won their final nine dual matches of the season to finish with an 11-6 record. |

Arizona State Thu., Jan. 28, 3:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. MT Tempe, Ariz. Princeton defeated ASU in their only previous meeting, 4-3 in the 2014 NCAA first round. The Sun Devils made the NCAA Round of 32 last season. |

Arizona Fri., Jan. 29, 3 p.m. ET/1 p.m. MT Tucson, Ariz. Princeton and Arizona have never met in a women's tennis dual match. The Wildcats were 13-8 last season. |

| Kentucky Fri., Feb. 12, 2 p.m. Jadwin Gym Princeton and Kentucky met twice in the 1980s, splitting the matches. Kentucky made the NCAA tournament last season but fell in the first round to DePaul. |

| Rutgers Sat., Feb. 13, 12 p.m. Jadwin Gym Princeton and Rutgers have met annually since 1981. The Tigers have won 19 in a row in the series. |

| Blue Gray National Tennis Classic Sat., Feb. 27-Sun., Feb. 28 Montgomery, Ala. The field includes five other NCAA tournament teams in Auburn, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine and Alabama, as well as Texas. Princeton competed in the event in 2012 and 2015. |

Georgia State Sat., Mar. 5, 3 p.m. Jadwin Gym Princeton and Georgia State have never met in a women's tennis dual match. The Panthers made the second round of the Sun Belt tournament and finished last year 13-9. |
