Brown missed its first nine shots of the game and Princeton scored the first 10 points of the second half Friday night to beat Brown 75-64. Despite Brown's cold start, the Bears led by as many as three points before the break, but Princeton was up by 1 at the half and used the second-half start to fuel the win. Princeton blocked a season-high 10 shots and held Brown to 34.8% shooting while overcoming a 3 of 14 night from beyond the arc. Hans Brase tied a career high with 15 rebounds while getting his fourth double-double of the season with 14 points. Steven Cook led four Tigers in double figures with 18 pints, and Rafael Maia had a double-double with 16 and 16 to lead Brown.

• With last night's win, Mitch Henderson '98 moved past John Thompson III '88 for seventh place on Princeton's all-time coaching wins list, now with 69 wins. Henderson has a way to go to catch his former coach at Princeton and bench-mate at Northwestern, Bill Carmody, who won a sixth-best 92 games at Princeton.

• Half the Ivy League has made NCAA men's basketball tournament in the last eight years, and half has had a much longer wait. The more recent half includes Penn (2007), Cornell (2010), Princeton (2011) and Harvard (2014). Both of this weekend's visitors aim to end longer waits, including Brown (1986) and Yale (1962), as well as Columbia (1968) and Dartmouth (1959).

• According to the NCAA record book, when Princeton faces Yale Saturday, it'll continue what is the longest streak in NCAA history for uninterrupted rivalries. Yale has faced Princeton, as well as Columbia, for 114 seasons counting 2014-15.

• Princeton's win over Brown last night was the 100th for the Tigers in series history, and it means Princeton has now defeated every Ivy team at least 100 times. The Tigers just missed being the first in the Ivy to do that, as Penn beat Brown for the 100th time in 2012. Princeton has faced Brown the fewest times of any Ivy opponent, as Friday night's game was just the 127th meeting. By contrast, Saturday's game will be the 231st meeting with Yale, and Princeton has faced Columbia 232 times and Penn 231 times.

• Harvard, Yale and Princeton are the only Ivy League teams with two or fewer losses, and although the Tigers missed a chance to better its position thanks to Cornell's comeback last Saturday night, Princeton still has two games against one-loss Yale and one visit to Harvard to make up ground, all coming in the team's next four games starting Saturday. The Tigers are 1 1/2 games behind both Yale and Harvard entering Saturday and one back in the loss column.

• Amir Bell enters Saturday leading Princeton in assists, with 60. The last time a Princeton freshman ended the season leading Princeton in assists was in 2006-07, when Marcus Schroeder '10 had a team-best 87 helpers.

• It sounds simple enough, but when the Tigers win, they've made shots, defended and gotten to the free throw line. Princeton has not done those things as well in losses. In wins, Princeton shoots .490 from the field and allows opponents .418, makes nine 3-pointers (.415) and allows four (.275), and averages 17 of 23 from the line while opponents average 10 of 16 from the free throw line. In losses, Princeton shoots .413 from the field but allows .448, makes eight 3-pointers and hits at a .350 clip while allowing seven but at a .467 clip, and averages 13 of 18 from the line while opponents average 21 of 28.

• The Tigers take 47 percent of their field goals from beyond the arc and have taken 514 total 3-point attempts this year. A year ago, Princeton rolled past the previous record of 681, set by Mitch Henderson's senior-year team in 1998, hoisting 774 3s last season.

• The Tigers have turned the ball over fewer times than their opponents in nine of the last 11 games after doing so only five times in the first 11 games. Perhaps not coincidentally, Princeton is 8-3 in the last 11 games after a 3-8 start.

• Princeton has made more 3-pointers than its opponent in 12 of the last 15 games after doing so in just two of the first seven games. The Tigers were 2-5 over the first seven, 9-6 over the last 15. Princeton has made at least 10 3-pointers in seven of the last 15 games after doing so in only one of the first seven games.

• The change in year has been a positive change for the Tigers during Mitch Henderson's tenure. In the pre-New Year portion of Henderson's four seasons, the Tigers have a record of 27-25 for a .519 winning percentage. From New Year's Day forward, the Tigers under Henderson are 42-18 with a .700 winning percentage.

• Princeton swept Brown and Yale in the teams' last meeting, Feb. 28-Mar. 1, 2014 in Jadwin Gym. The Tigers will look much different this time, as Princeton returns 35 of 69 points from the last Brown game and 31 of 57 points from the last Yale game. T.J. Bray '14 led Princeton in scoring both times. Bray, who played with the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Summer League last summer, is now with Pallacanestro Trapani in Sicily in Serie A2 Gold, Italy's second division.

• Princeton leads the Ivy in field goal percentage (.450), 3-point FG% (.381), 3s per game (8.9). turnover margin (+0.86/game), and defensive rebounding percentage (.737).

• Princeton's probable starting lineup includes no seniors, but junior Hans Brase, sophomores Steven Cook, Spencer Weisz and Pete Miller, and freshman Amir Bell. Yale has a significant experience edge, starting three seniors (Cotton, Duren, Townsend) and two juniors (Montague, Sears).

• Princeton is 11-6 when scoring 28 points by halftime and 0-5 when it does not. The Tigers are 8-2 when scoring at least 69 points and 2-9 when they do not. The Tigers are 10-3 when holding opponents below 67 points but 1-8 when foes reach 67.

• Princeton is 11-3 when holding opponents below 41 percent from 3-point range and 0-8 when opponents make at least 41 percent of their 3-point tries.

• The Tigers are 8-2 when getting at least 13 turnovers from opponents and 3-9 when opponents turn the ball over fewer than 13 times.

• Through Thursday's games, Princeton ranked 10th in the nation in 3s per game, then at 9.2. The team ranked in the national top 100 in eight statistical categories, with its next-highest ranking at 22nd in fewest turnovers, then 252. Between them, Hans Brase, Pete Miller, Spencer Weisz and Steven Cook were included in the national rankings (approximately the national top 250 players in each category) 13 times. Hans Brase had the highest ranking, at 47th in defensive rebounds per game (5.9), while Steven Cook was also in the top 100 with a 71st-best 1.85 steals per game.

• Princeton's top five scorers on average are non-seniors, including sophomore Spencer Weisz, junior Hans Brase, freshman Amir Bell and sophomores Steven Cook and Pete Miller. The last time the Tigers finished the season with no seniors among the top five in scoring was 2009-10, when sophomore Douglas Davis, junior Dan Mavraides, freshman Ian Hummer, junior Kareem Maddox and sophomore Patrick Saunders were in the top five.

• While Ben Hazel has experienced a resurgence lately on the court, leading Princeton at 15.5 ppg last weekend, seniors have accounted for just 17.1 percent of minutes and 15.3 percent of the points this season on the whole.

• Sophomore Spencer Weisz is leading the team in scoring at 12.2 ppg, 14 points in front of junior Hans Brase. The last sophomore (or younger) to end the season leading the team in scoring was in the 2009-10 season when Douglas Davis '12 averaged 12.7 ppg. Since: Kareem Maddox '11 in 2010-11, Ian Hummer '13 in 2011-12 and 2012-13, and T.J. Bray '14 in 2013-14.

• In 58 Ivy League seasons, Princeton has posted 52 winning Ivy seasons, four 7-7 finishes and just two losing records.

• When Yale has 30 points by halftime, the Bulldogs are 11-2. When they don't, the Bulldogs are 6-5. Similarly, Yale is 11-3 when scoring at least 67 points and 6-4 when not.

• Yale is 11-1 when shooting at least 44 percent from the field and 6-6 when not.

• Just four teams have scored 33 points by halftime against Yale, but those teams are 4-0. Teams surpassing 66 points are 5-0 against the Bulldogs.

• Yale has allowed nine or more 3-pointers, Princeton's per-game average, just four times this season and still went 3-1 in those games.

• Yale is No. 1 in the Ivy in scoring offense (69.3 ppg), scoring margin (+7.8 ppg), rebounding margin (+5.7 rpg), assists (14.4 apg), assist-to-turnover ratio (+1.1), offensive rebounds (11.8 orpg) and offensive rebounding percentage (.360). Yale's Jack Montague leads the league in 3FG percentage (.479).

• Through Thurday's games, Yale was in the top 100 nationally in 11 statistical categories, led by the team's then 27th-best +5.7 rpg rebounding margin. Individually, Justin Sears, Javier Duren and Jack Montague combined for 17 top-250 rankings, led by Sears' 32nd-best 2.5 blocks per game.

Mitch Henderson '98 is in his fourth season as Princeton's head coach. His overall record at Princeton is 69-43.

Under Henderson, Princeton is 39-10 at home, 32-16 in the Ivy League, and 21-4 in the Ivy League at home. Princeton is 55-14 when leading at the half under Henderson.

Henderson is the first Princeton coach since John Thompson III '88 (2000-04) to have winning seasons in each of his first three campaigns. He is the sixth Princeton coach to accomplish that, following Frederick Luehring (1912-20), Butch van Breda Kolff '44 (1962-67), Pete Carril (1967-96), Bill Carmody (1996-2000) and Thompson III '88 (2000-04).  

Henderson is in seventh place on the Princeton all-time wins list, having surpassed John Thompson III '88 with the win over Brown on Feb. 13, 2014. Bill Carmody, who was a Princeton assistant for Henderson's first two seasons and head coach for Henderson's last two, is in sixth place with 92 wins. Carmody hired Henderson as an assistant coach at Northwestern in 2000, where Henderson remained for 11 seasons until coming to Princeton.

Henderson was a second-team All-Ivy Leaguer in 1998, an honorable mention All-Ivy Leaguer in 1997, and was a two-time Ivy Rookie of the Week in 1994-95.

Henderson graduated as the fourth-leading assist man in program history (kept since 1974-75) and is now sixth, having been surpassed by two of his players, Ian Hummer '13 and T.J. Bray '14. Henderson graduated fifth in career steals (kept since 1974-75) and is now ninth, having been passed by former teammate Gabe Lewullis '99, current San Diego Padre Will Venable '05, Marcus Schroeder '10 and his former player T.J. Bray '14.   Henderson is one of six Princeton alumni who are current Division I head coaches, including John Thompson III '88 (Georgetown), Joe Scott '87 (Denver), Mike Brennan '94 (American), Chris Mooney '94 (Richmond) and Sydney Johnson '97 (Fairfield).
