Singh Earns ECAC Fencer of the Week Honors
February 26, 2015 | Women's Fencing
Princeton senior Ambika Singh was named the ECAC Women's Fencer of the Week after her performances at the Temple Duals and the National Squad Championships.
It's the third time this season that a Princeton women's fencer has been named ECAC Fencer or Rookie of the Week, as saber Allison Lee earned Fencer of the Week honors on Feb. 4 and Rookie of the Week recognition on Dec. 10.
Singh, a foil, went 12-3 at the Temple Duals last Saturday, winning at least two of her three bouts against all five opponents while recording sweeps against Brown and Temple to help the third-ranked Tigers finish 4-1 on the weekend. Sunday, Singh helped the foil squad win top honors at the National Squad Championships hosted by Drew.
The Tigers are off this weekend but will compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional at Duke on March 7.
