Women's Tennis Tops Memphis in Final Match Before Spring Trip

A week after heading to Alabama for the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic, the Princeton women's tennis team headed south once again, this time to Memphis, where the Tigers of the north defeated those of the south, 4-3.
Princeton opened the season with five losses, all to ranked teams, but the team has won four of five since to stand at 4-6. The win over Memphis was Princeton's first over a ranked team this season.
Princeton opened the day by winning the doubles point and then had wins on courts four through six to clinch the match. Memphis won the top three courts to pull the final score to 4-3. Dorothy Tang and Katrine Steffensen were winners in both singles and doubles.
Princeton will head to California for a trio of matches during spring break in mid-March, first on Mar. 18 at Long Beach State and then in San Diego against San Diego State and Oklahoma State on Mar. 20 and 21.
