TigerCast A-Z: Abram Ayala and Zoltan Dudas Talk Big Upcoming Weekends
February 05, 2015 | General, Men's Fencing, Women's Fencing, Wrestling
Junior Abram Ayala will lead the Tigers into Saturday's "Celebration of Princeton Wrestling," while Zoltan Dudas hopes to celebrate two more Ivy League championships Monday afternoon. Both join the latest edition of TigerCast to discuss the big weekend.
Ayala, who reached the NCAA Championships last year, is currently ranked 10th nationally at 197 pounds. He is coming off a victory over one ranked Ivy wrestler last weekend, and he will likely take on another in Harvard's James Fox during the first of two league matches at Dillon Gym this weekend. Ayala discusses the team season, his key upcoming match and the impact Princeton Wrestling has had on him.
Dudas has led Princeton to seven Ivy League championships (five women, two men), as well as the 2013 NCAA team championship. Both of his squads are considered strong contenders this weekend, though neither is the top-ranked Ivy team in the latest national rankings. Dudas discusses the challenges ahead during the two-day Ivy Round Robin, as well as the performances at Northwestern last weekend and the return of NCAA medalist Gracie Stone.
