Men's Tennis' Quazzo Incorporates His Sport, Video Into Thesis Project
March 30, 2015 | Men's Tennis
Princeton men's tennis senior Ben Quazzo, majoring in operations research and financial engineering (ORFE), is doing his thesis on Data Analytics in Professional Tennis and recently put together the above video analyzing where to place a serve in order to have the highest chance of winning the point.
Featured in the video is one of the playSight kiosks that were recently installed in the Jadwin Gym indoor tennis facility which use video to analyze player performance.
Quazzo and the Tigers opened their Ivy League season this past weekend against Penn and will continue the Ivy slate at Brown and Yale this weekend. New rankings will be released Tuesday, but the Tigers were ranked 28th in the nation going into the Penn match.
GoPrincetonTigers.com caught up with Quazzo earlier this season and talked about his major, his Princeton experience and the team's performance. That video is below.
