Binghamton, Army to Visit Men's Tennis for Sunday Twinbill

Last Sunday's doubleheader went well for the Princeton men's tennis team and the Tigers will aim for the same result this Sunday when Binghamton and Army come to Jadwin Gym.
The Binghamton match will start at 10 a.m. and the Army match is set for a 3 p.m. start, and all six courts in both matches will be video streamed on the Ivy League Digital Network.
Last weekend, Princeton fell 4-3 at Penn State before returning to Princeton and defeating Buffalo 4-3 and Monmouth 5-0.
Princeton hasn't faced Binghamton since 2011 or Army since 2007. Binghamton won all three all-time meetings against the Tigers, which came annually from 2009-11 with the first two in Jadwin Gym and the third at Harvard at the ECAC Championship. Princeton and Army have met 62 times, thanks in large part to the two teams being conference-mates for men's tennis through 1998, with Princeton winning 60 of the meetings. Army's wins came in 1945 and 2004.
Princeton once again found itself in the ITA's top 25 this week when the latest rankings came out Tuesday with Princeton in the 25th spot. Seven Ivy teams were once again ranked, and all in the top 50. So far on the season, Princeton is 11-3 overall and 6-3 against ITA-ranked opponents with the program's best record through 14 matches since 1994.
Binghamton enters the match at 2-8 and Princeton will be the Bearcats' fourth Ivy opponent in a run of five between Feb. 21 and Mar. 14. So far, Dartmouth, Brown and Columbia have topped Binghamton, and Cornell will come to Binghamton on Mar. 14.
Army is 8-3 heading into a Friday match against Drexel and has won eight in a row. Princeton will be Army's first Ivy opponent, and both teams will head to Southern California later this month before beginning their respective league schedules. Princeton will be away from competition until Mar. 19-21 at the University of San Diego's tournament.
