Ford, Dudey Win Gold at NCAA Regional
March 07, 2015 | Men's Fencing, Women's Fencing
Freshman Thomas Dudey and junior Isabel Ford each won their weapons Saturday at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic/South Regional at Duke, continuing Princeton's streak of a regional champion to a sixth year.
Last season, the Tigers had four individual champs, with Ambika Singh, Katharine Holmes, Gracie Stone and Jack Hudson.
The final competition before the NCAA Championships in two weeks at Ohio State, the regionals account for 60 percent of a fencer's credentials for championship selection. The other 40 percent comes from regular-season results. The 144 NCAA Championship competitors will be announced Tuesday after 4 p.m.
