Princeton is still alive in the race for the Ivy League South title, but the Tigers will need some help and a strong Sunday. Princeton defeated Cornell 6-3 in the first game and had a three-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh in game two, but the Big Red rallied to score three in both the seventh and the eighth to take Saturday's nightcap 10-7. In the opener, Princeton led 4-2 after three innings, with a Marissa Reynolds solo shot and a Skye Jerpbak ground-rule double picking up a run in the second, and RBIs from Kelsey Smith and Haley Hineman driving in runs in the third. In the sixth, a Jerpbak double and a Danielle Dockx hit put two runners on for Alyssa Schmidt, who doubled both home to make it 6-2. Cornell managed just a run in the bottom of the seventh, getting no closer against Shanna Christian, who won for the fourth time in her last five decisions. Cornell never led until the end in game two, but scored just in time to push the game to extras and win it in the eighth after the teams combined for 17 runs on 24 hits with neither starter finishing the game. Princeton pulled ahead 3-0 in the top of the first, only to see Cornell come back with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Princeton's big hit in the opening frame was a bases-clearing double from Skye Jerpbak, who finished 3 for 6 with four RBIs on the day. The Tigers then pulled ahead 6-3 in the top of the fourth, using two hits, two errors and a failed fielder's choice to help plate the three runs. Kayla Bose and Rachel Rendina had RBIs in that inning before Cornell got one back to make it 6-4. After Princeton tacked on another run in the top of the fifth on a Bose RBI groundout, it stayed 7-4 until the bottom of the seventh, when Cornell used a three-run home run from Tori Togashi to tie it after the first two Cornell batters reached on a double and a single. Reliever Claire Klausner was able to keep it there in place of Ashley LaGuardia, but the Big Red roared back in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and two on after a couple of base hits, Cornell's Michiko McGivney hit a three-run walk-off home run down the right-field line to end it. |
| Skye Jerpbak was 3 for 6 on the day, driving in four runs. All three of her hits were doubles, and she added a walk as well. |

| Alyssa Schmidt's two-run triple in the opener gave the Tigers some breathing room as Princeton took a 6-2 lead in an eventual 6-3 run. Michiko McGivney's three-run walk-off shot ended the second game with Cornell taking a 10-7, eight-inning win. |

• Junior Kayla Bose had a two-hit game in the nightcap, tying a season best. She had two hits at Rider on March 31. |
| Princeton and Cornell will be back at it Sunday for a pair at 12:30 p.m. in Ithaca with Princeton fighting to say in the Ivy South division race. |
