Final Stats
If you're only going to make one trip to play at an opponent every 87 years, you might as well make it exciting.
Princeton and Lehigh, meeting for the first time in Bethlehem since 1928, played an entertaining game Tuesday night, one that saw the teams combine for 31 goals on 75 shots. Ultimately, it was Lehigh who also got the win, as Dan Taylor's goal with 15.6 seconds left snapped the last of the 11 ties and gave the Mountain Hawks a 16-15 win.
The teams played the last 39:22 of the game either tied or with one team up by a goal. Princeton fell to 6-4 overall, while Lehigh is now 5-8.
The Tigers finish their regular season with three Ivy League games in a row, beginning Saturday at Dartmouth. Princeton is still very much in the hunt for a spot in the Ivy tournament and for the league title.
Lehigh ran out to a 7-3 lead in the second quarter before Princeton came back to tie it at 7-7 and then go up 8-7. It would be back-and-forth from there, with Princeton's last lead at 15-14 on Kip Orban's goal with 4:14 left.

* Princeton has now played four 16-15 games in the last three seasons. Prior to that, Princeton had played one 16-15 game in the entire history of lacrosse at the school. Princeton defeated Johns Hopkins 16-15 earlier this year on McBride's overtime goal.

* The game marked the second straight year that Princeton and Lehigh played a thriller. A year ago, Princeton tied the game with 2.7 seconds left on an Orban goal and then won it 10-9 in the second OT on a Tom Schreiber goal. The teams hadn't met since the 1940s prior to that.
* Princeton is 2-1 in the Ivy League, tied with Brown, just behind Cornell (3-1) as no league team remains unbeaten. Yale is 2-2 in the league. Dartmouth and Harvard are both 1-2, and Penn is 1-3. The top four teams advance to the Ivy League tournament.
