Why Princeton? The first time that I stepped on Princeton's campus was after a soccer tournament that my brother had in the area. When I returned to campus as a high-school student, the trip meant everything to me. I was in the midst of searching for a college where I would feel comfortable and where I could see myself prospering and growing for the next four years. As I walked past beautiful architecture and smiling faces, I could feel a sense of community that I wanted to be a part of. I knew immediately that Princeton would push me to excel both academically and athletically. It would provide me with many wonderful opportunities, and it would give me the chance to meet many exceptional people. When I watched the Princeton University softball team play, I saw a chemistry that cannot be taught and I saw passion for the game from each player. They all got along off the field and that is something that I was looking for when I was searching for a program to play for in college. When watching practices, I knew that the team and coaches would push me to work hard every day and that they would make me the best player and teammate that I could possibly be. |
