ASN's Video Feature on Olympic Hopeful Katharine Holmes
September 18, 2015 | Women's Fencing
The American Sports Network has put together a video feature on Princeton's Katharine Holmes, who is taking time off from school to pursue a bid for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
As of the July 2 U.S. Fencing rankings, Holmes has the highest point total of all American senior women épées, the standing that will determine the U.S. contingent next April.
Holmes has one year remaining at Princeton when she returns to collegiate competition. Over her first three years, Holmes was a three-time All-America, winning a bronze in the individual NCAA championship competition as a freshman in 2012. She was a part of Princeton's 2013 NCAA team title winner, the first combined team championship in program history.
In addition to producing video features on Princeton student-athletes, ASN televises several Tiger sporting events. ASN's fall schedule for Princeton includes five football games, the first on Oct. 17 at Brown.
