Football: Princeton 40, Lafayette 7
Chad Kanoff threw for 256 yards and a touchdown, Dré Nelson picked up 116 yards on the ground and Seth DeValve caught six balls for 72 yards as the football team opened its season with a 40-7 win at Lafayette.
Men's Soccer: Princeton 2, Boston University 1
Senior Josh Miller scored the game winner in the 87th minute as Princeton defeated BU 2-1 in the home opener. Classmate Nico Hurtado had two assists in the game as the Tigers improve to 1-0-1 in the series with BU.
Men's Tennis: Two days complete at the Ivy Plus Tournament
Princeton is through two of the three days at its first home tournament of the fall, the Ivy Plus Tournament individual event at the Lenz Tennis Center. Tom Colautti and Luke Gamble will play for their flight titles Sunday.
Women's Golf: Princeton stands second after two rounds at Bucknell
Fairleigh Dickinson leads the 14-team field by seven shots over Princeton at the Bucknell Invitational with one round to play Sunday. Freshman Amber Wang is the top Tiger at +13, six shots off the lead.
Men's Golf: Princeton leads after two rounds at Cornell
Princeton holds a nine-shot lead over Towson in a 14-team field at the Cornell Invitational, which will have its final round Sunday. Eric Mitchell and Quinn Prchal co-lead Princeton and are tied for third overall at 2-under, four shots off the pace.
Men's Water Polo: No. 12 Princeton 14, Redlands 6
Up three at the half, Princeton used a 6-2 run in the third to pull away for a 14-6 victory over Redlands at Stanford's NorCal Invitational. Freshman Michael Swart turned in a hat-trick to led the Tiger offense, while Thomas Nelson, Eric Bowen and Ryan Wilson each had two goals.
Sprint Football: Chestnut Hill 48, Princeton 13
Princeton dropped its 2015 season opener with a 48-13 setback against Chestnut Hill. Quarterback Chad Cowden completed 11 of his 23 pass attempts for 163 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions. Tyler Kaye finished with six catches for 110 yards and a score.
Women's Cross Country: Princeton finishes third at Iona Meet of Champions
Princeton finished third in a field of 11 teams at the Iona-hosted Meet of Champions, behind only Wisconsin (29 points) and a single point behind Johns Hopkins (59). Emily de la Bruyere took fourth overall as the top Tiger in 22:29.
Men's Water Polo: No. 8 UC-Irvine 14, No. 12 Princeton 6
The Tigers opened play at the Kap 7 NorCal Invitational at Stanford University with a 14-6 loss to eighth-ranked UC-Irvine. Thomas Nelson had a pair of goals for Princeton, while Jamie Kuprenas dished out three assists. Vojislav Mitrovic finished with 11 saves.
Women's Volleyball: Princeton 3, Howard 2
Trailing 2-1 in sets, Princeton rallied from a 20-13 deficit in the fourth and scored 28 of the final 38 points to claim a 3-2 win over Howard and complete a perfect weekend at the Rutgers Tournament. The 1-2 punch of Kendall Peterkin and Cara Mattaliano, which dominated in Friday wins over Duquesne and Rutgers, recorded 40 of Princeton's 67 points in the win.
