Softball Sets Fall Slate With Pair of October Twinbills

Doubleheaders against Lehigh and Iona are on the slate for the Princeton softball team in October.
Princeton's fall schedule will take the Tigers to head coach Lisa Van Ackeren's alma mater, Lehigh, for a noon twinbill Sunday, Oct. 4, before Princeton hosts Iona for a noon pair Saturday, Oct. 10.
Admission to both doubleheaders, including the Oct. 10 games at '95 Field, will be free.
Lehigh was 40-9 last spring and 16-2 in the Patriot League, winning the league tournament and taking a game in the NCAA tournament at Oklahoma's regional. Iona was 12-8 in Metro Atlantic play last spring and won a game in the MAAC tournament before wrapping its season.
Princeton returns seven of its top 10 hitters for average from last season and 231 of its 274 innings in the circle. Along with 14 returners, the Tigers welcome six freshmen to its 2015-16 roster.
