Arizona Tops Women's Tennis to Cap Tigers' Trip
January 30, 2016 | Women's Tennis
Princeton's three-match swing through Arizona wrapped Friday with a 6-1 loss in Tucson, giving the Tigers one of three wins on the trip.
Princeton opened the week with a 7-0 win at Grand Canyon Tuesday but fell to No. 27 Arizona State 6-1 Thursday before the match against No. 65 Arizona.
Arizona opened with a pair of doubles victories to counter a win by Caroline Joyce and Dorothy Tang on court three and clinch the point, and the Wildcats followed that with five singles wins to clinch the match.
The loss drops the Tigers to 2-2 on the season before the team heads to the ECAC Championship at Dartmouth beginning Friday.
