Game-Tying Goal, Hat Trick Earn Ivy Weekly Honor for Asom

Mimi Asom had the game-tying goal against Bucknell last Tuesday in a 1-1 tie and had her first career hat trick Saturday in a 6-1 win at Cornell, and now she has an Ivy League Player of the Week honor.
Asom also earned the honor on Aug. 29, the first of the season. She had one last year, on Oct. 26, 2015, along with an Ivy-record six weekly rookie honors last season.Â
With the four goals, she stands one behind Tyler Lussi for the team lead with nine on the season and has 21 goals for her career.
Asom and the Tigers, who are 10-4-2 on the season, will have their regular-season finale Saturday at 7 p.m. at Roberts Stadium against Penn.
