Events in Florida, Georgia Up Next as Fall Season Enters Final Weeks

Events in Florida and Georgia are on the calendar for the Princeton tennis teams as the fall season winds to a close.
The Lakewood Ranch Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Tournament will welcome both the men's and women's teams to Sarasota, Fla., for the clay court event. It's the fifth straight year the men have competed in the event and the fourth consecutive year for the women.
Katrine Steffensen and Catalina Vives will represent the Tiger women in Florida, while Jonathan Carcione, Ben Tso, Davey Roberts and Eduardo Paz are set to compete for the men in the Sunshine State. Steffensen made the singles semifinals a year ago while Tso and Tom Colautti were singles quarterfinalists and a doubles semifinalist pair last fall.
The event will start with 32 singles players and 16 doubles pairs with two rounds of main-draw doubles and two rounds of singles (two main, one consolation) set for Friday with play beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday will see the doubles semifinals and two rounds of singles, both in the main draw and consolation draws, with play beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday will see final-round matches with play beginning at 10 a.m.
Also on the schedule for the men is Georgia's Bulldog Scramble, which will see Payton Holden, Colautti, Alex Day, Jimmy Wasserman and Kial Kaiser competing against players from host Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami (Fla.), South Carolina and Wake Forest. Play will start each day Friday through Sunday with doubles at 10 a.m., followed by singles at 2:30 p.m. Friday, 1:30 p.m. Saturday and immediately following doubles Sunday. Princeton's men will wrap the fall season after the weekend, while the women will have one more tournament next weekend at LSU.
