Hallisey Named ECAC Player of the Week

Junior David Hallisey is the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday. He was also named the GoPrincetonTigers.com Athlete of the Week, presented by Coach USA.
Hallisey led Princeton to a sweep of No. 10 Bemidji on the road this weekend, 4-1 and 3-1, making the Tigers first wins of the season. Hallisey had his second-career two-goal game on Saturday, including the game-winning goal. His first goal made it a 1-1 game midway through the second went he shot five hole from the slot. The game winner came seven seconds into a power-play opportunity as he banged in a rebound. Hallisey also had an assist in the Tigers' 4-1 win on Friday.
It marks Princeton's first sweep of a non-conference team on the road since 2009 when the Tigers swept Notre Dame, and is just the second time Princeton had back-to-back wins over ranked teams since December 2008 when the Tigers beat No. 17 Minnesota State and No. 16 Nebraska-Omaha at Hobey Baker Rink.
Princeton is back in action this weekend as it hosts Union and Rensselaer at Hobey Baker Rink on Dec. 2 & 3.
