Feb. 11 TigerCast: Judd Ziegler and Jaimie McDonell
February 11, 2016 | General, Women's Ice Hockey, Wrestling
One team just won an Ivy League title. Another seeks one this weekend. Members of both teams, Judd Ziegler and Jaimie McDonell, are guests on the latest edition of TigerCast.
Ziegler has helped the Princeton wrestling team to a 3-0 mark in the Ivy League, good enough for a share of first place heading into the final weekend. The Tigers will wrestle Columbia and Cornell, and have earned a shot to win its first Ivy title since 1986. Ziegler talks about how special this current run has been, the excitement for Saturday and his memories of wrestling one of the best in NCAA history, Cornell graduate Kyle Dake.
McDonell is one of the leaders on a women's hockey team that has won 14 of its last 15 games and clinched the Ivy League championship with a win at Cornell last weekend. The Tigers are currently third in the ECAC standings, and they take a major step towards home ice with home wins this weekend against Clarkson and St. Lawrence. McDonell talks about the team's recent streak and the "Day For Denna Laing" that will take place during Saturday's game.
